Forrest Thayer is a four-year distance runner with the Yellow Jackets.....competed in six cross country meets in 2015 and was among the team’s top seven four times.....PR in the 8K at the NCCAA Championship in 25:55 to place 18th overall for national title team.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2014-15 - G-MAC Indoor First Team with a win in the mile run in 4:32.35.....posted a career-best 4:29.36 at Ohio Northern.....finished 6th in the G-MAC indoor 800 in a career-best 2:01.80.....G-MAC Outdoor Third Team honors with a third-place showing in the 10K in 35:24.66.....participated in the first six cross country meets as a junior.....turned in a season-best 8K of 26:49 at Carnegie Mellon to place 32nd.....finished 17th in the Cedarville Open in 27:05.....came across the line 21st at the G-MAC Championship in 27:48.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2013-14 - G-MAC honorable mention on the track by placing 3rd in the 5,000 meters in 16:28.78.....best effort was 16:07.26 at Miami.....competed in the 3K and 5K indoors.....ran in four varsity cross country meets as a sophomore.....fastest 8K time of the season was 28:08 to finish 26th at the G-MAC Championship..........team’s #4 finisher at Ohio University with a 5K time of 16:47 distance runner on the track.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2012-13 - Ran everything from the 800 meters to the 5K on the track as a freshman.....fastest outdoor 800 time was 2:01.94 at Miami.....top 1,500 mark was 4:15.30 in the Yellow Jacket Open.....best 8K cross country time was 27:14 in the Friendship Invitational.....placed 68th of 281 in the NCCAA Nationals in 27:28.....finished 13th in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference in 28:07 to achieve All-G-MAC Second Team recognition.

High School - Four-year letter winner in cross country at Naperville Central High School.....two-year team captain.....three-year letter winner on the track.....team captain one year.....state qualifier in the 4 x 800 relay.....Illinois State Scholar.....Dupage Valley Academic All-Conference.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean’s Honor List student as a mechanical engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 5/23/94 in Winfield, IL.....son of the late Martin and Carolyn Thayer.....older brother, Evan, was an All-America distance runner for the Yellow Jackets from 2008-12.....also has one older sister and a younger sister.
