Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

CAREER STATS

Isaac Wheeler is in his fourth season with the Yellow Jackets.....competed in four cross country meets during the fall season.....best 5K was 28:43.5 at the Wilmington Classic.

2017-18 - Sat out the indoor track season, but returned to action for three outdoor meets in the 5K.....best time was 16:57.06 at the Cedarville Collegiate.....did not compete during the 2017 cross country season.

2016-17 - After sitting out the indoor track season, returned to competition during the outdoor campaign.....best 1,500 was 4:18.76 at the Hanover Invitational.....did not run during his sophomore cross country season.

2015-16 - Placed 3rd in the 3K at the G-MAC Indoor Championship in a career-best 9:07.15.....best 5K of the indoor campaign was 16:09.04 at Grand Valley State.....did not run during the outdoor season.....saw action is six cross country meets in 2015 and was among the team’s top seven finishers five times.....had a career-best 8K of 26:29 at the Lewis Cross-Over.....CU’s #7 runner at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional in 33:50 for the 10K.

2014-15 - G-MAC Indoor First Team with a win in the distance medley relay (10:43.63).....placed 6th in the mile in 4:48.82.....G-MAC Indoor Freshmen Team.....finished 6th in the G-MAC outdoor 5K in 16:49.97.....best indoor mark was 16:01.01 at the Cedarville Collegiate.....competed in five cross country meets.....placed 24th in the G-MAC Championship with a season-best 8K of 28:23.

High School - Earned three letters in cross country at Newark Senior High School.....All-Central District honoree.....named to the Ohio Capital Conference Second Team.....two-year letter winner in track & field.....conference champs.....state qualifier in the 4 x 800 relay.....class valedictorian.....National Merit Scholarship commended student.....Academic All-Ohio.....OHSAA Scholar-Athlete.

Personal - Mechanical engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 9/8/95 in Newark, OH.....married wife, Gabby, who is a senior distance runner for the Lady Jackets on 5/18/18.....son of Michael and Patricia Wheeler.....has two younger sisters.
