Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Jacob Walter is a fourth-year distance runner at CU.....sat out the entire 2013 cross country season.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2012-13 - Competed in two outdoor meets as a junior.....placed 11th in the NCCAA 10,000 meters in 33:17.77.....won the event at the Yellow Jacket Open in 34:04.23.....saw action in five varsity cross country meets.....ran a career-best 8K mark of 25:54 to place 4th in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.....earned All-G-MAC First Team honors.....finished 12th in the Friendship Invitational in 25:57.....51st of 158 in the Division II Midwest Regional in 32:22 for the 10K.....CU’s 7th runner at the NCAA Division II Championship in 32:06.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2011-12 - Saw limited action during the track & field season.....appeared in six varsity meets as a sophomore.....turned in a season-best time of 26:41 to place 17th of 209 competitors at the NCCAA Championship.....finished 12th in the Ohio Independent Championship in 26:50.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2010-11 - Competed in the indoor 3K and 5K as well as the outdoor 5K and 10K.....finished 7th in the NCCAA outdoor 10K in 33:37.37.....fastest time was 33:01.34 at Cincinnati.....ran six varsity cross country meets as a freshman.....best time was 27:15 at the American Mideast Conference Championship which placed 38th of 105 competitors.....team’s #7 finisher on NCCAA championship squad.

High School - Four-year letter winner in cross country at Haddon Township High School.....named Team MVP as a senior and was an All-South Jersey Group I performer.....two-time All-Patriot Division selection.....best 5K time was 16:34.....helped team win a pair of South Jersey Group I titles as well as the 2008 State Group I championship.....earned four letters in track & field.....picked up All-Patriot Division honors for long distance running.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean’s List student as an electrical engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 11/21/91 in Voorhees, NJ.....son of Paul and Marcia Walter.....has one older brother and a younger sister.
