Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

James Niemiec is in his second year at Cedarville University.....participated in his first season of cross country in the fall.....ran in three varsity meets.....finished 63rd out of 129 runners in the Friendship Invitational in 28:53 for the 8K.

2012-13 - Competed in the 800 and 1,500 meters on the track.....sat out the 2012 cross country season with an injury.

High School - Two-sport performer at Zeeland East High School.....two-year letter winner in track & field.....did not run as a senior due to injury.....four-year letter winner and two-time team captain on the soccer field.....earned all-district recognition.....scored 34 goals throughout his career.....graduated with academic honors.

Personal - Mechanical engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 1/1/94 in Solihull, England.....son of Robert and Anne Marie Niemiec.....all four of his siblings have either participated or are currently participating for the Yellow Jackets.....older brother Matt was a four-year All-America soccer player.....older brother Aaron was a four-year All-America tennis player.....older brother Joe is a senior distance runner and younger sister Abby is a freshman distance runner at CU.
