Jon Scouten is back for his fourth season as a thrower for the Yellow Jackets.....NCCAA Indoor All-American in the shot put as the runner-up with a career-best 49-2.25 (14.99 meters).....set PR in the weight throw of 49-3.75 (15.03m) at the G-MAC Indoor.....during the outdoor campaign, established career-bests in the shot (49-7; 15.11m) at North Central and in the hammer (168-1; 51.24m) at Miami.....best discus effort of the season was 142-3 at Miami.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2017 - G-MAC Outdoor First Team after repeating as shot put champion (46-3.50; 14.11m).....best effort of the season was 46-10.75 (14.29m) in the Yellow Jacket Open.....season-best in the hammer was 156-7 (47.74m) to place third in the G-MAC.....also third in the discus at the conference meet with a season-best 139-5 (42.50m).....G-MAC Indoor Second Team as the runner-up in the shot put (46-9.50; 14.26m).....best of the season in the shot was 47-6.50 (14.49m) in the Cedarville Invitational and in the weight throw was 46-6.25 (14.18m) in the G-MAC Championship.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2016 - Produced an outstanding rookie season.....G-MAC Field Athlete of the Meet during the indoor and outdoor seasons.....conference indoor champion in both the shot put (46-9.50; 14.26m) and weight throw (43-6.50; 13.27m) with season-bests in both events.....matched his shot put PR at the NCCAA Indoor Championship to place sixth.....G-MAC outdoor champion in the shot put (47-1.50; 14.36m), discus (134-1; 40.86m), and hammer (132-10; 40.48m).....shot put mark was a season-best.....finished seventh in the discus at the NCCAA Championship at 140-6 (42.83m).....best effort in the event was 143-8 (43.79m) at the Centre Invitational.....hammer PR was 134-4 (40.94m) at the NCCAA Outdoor Championship.....G-MAC First Team indoors and outdoors.....G-MAC Freshmen Team indoors and outdoors.

High School - Three-sport standout at Lumen Christi High School.....member of the track & field team for four seasons.....state Division III runner-up in both the shot put and discus.....two-time conference shot put champion and holds the school record with a personal best effort of 55-6.....captured the 2014 regional crown in the shot put as a junior and 2015 regional titles in both the shot and discus as a senior.....owns the school record in the discus at 163-2.....member of state championship track & field team.....played three seasons of football and was twice voted all-conference while serving as team captain.....participated in three seasons of wrestling.....graduated with academic honors.

Personal - Dean’s Honor List student as a mechanical engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 9/12/96 in Brooklyn, MI.....son of Stephen and Lori Scouten.....has two older sisters.....older brother, David, was a thrower at Liberty University.
