Joshua Perez is a third-year distance runner with the Yellow Jackets.....competed in one varsity cross country meet in the fall.....ran the 8K in 30:09 at the G-MAC Championship.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2015-16 - G-MAC Outdoor First Team.....league champion in 3,000 meter steeplechase in a career-best 9:48.43.....finished 6th in the NCCAA in 10:03.52.....placed 4th in the G-MAC 5K in 16:01.46.....fastest 1,500 was 4:03.49 at Toledo.....saw action in just one indoor meet.....placed 9th in the mile in the G-MAC Indoor Championship in 4:51.60.....participated in three meets during the 2015 cross country season.....G-MAC Second Team with a season-best 8K effort of 27:32 to place 14th overall for conference championship team.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2014-15 - G-MAC Indoor Third Team by finishing 3rd in the mile run (4:38).....best time of the season was 4:31.57 at Ohio Northern.....placed 6th outdoors in the G-MAC steeplechase in 10:41.72.....season-best in the event of 9:50.12 in the All-Ohio.....G-MAC Freshmen Team both indoors and outdoors.....competed in five cross country meets.....best 8K time was 26:58 which placed 35th of 173 at Carnegie Mellon.

High School - Four-year letter winner in cross country at C.W. Baker High School.....picked up all-league, all-division, and all-section honors in cross country.....member of two-time conference champions.....achieved five letters in indoor and outdoor track & field.....three-time section champion indoors and one time outdoors.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a geology major at Cedarville University.....born 11/14/95 in Baldwinsville, NY.....son of Russell Perez and Kristin Perez.....married on Aug. 1, 2015 to wife, Nicole (Watterud), who is a distance runner with the Lady Jackets.....has one younger brother and three younger sisters.
