Lane Hluch is a fourth-year thrower for the Yellow Jackets.....regard as the best in CU history in the hammer.....six of his marks as a junior rank in CU’s Top 10 including a school-record heave of 175-2 at the G-MAC Championship to place fourth.....finished 11th at the Ohio State Jesse Owens Classic at 174-0 and launched a 173-2 effort in the Yellow Jacket Collegiate.....established a career-best discus mark of 128-4 at Miami.....season-best shot put was 40-0 at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate.....set PR’s in the throws during the indoor season.....weight throw of 53-0 placed fourth in the NCCAA Championship and rates third all-time at CU.....best shot put of 42-1.50 came at Hillsdale.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2017 - G-MAC Indoor Second Team after finishing as the runner-up in the weight thrown with a heave of 47-6.50.....equaled his then career-best of 50-9.25 in the Cedarville Invitational.....set an indoor shot put PR of 41-8 at Tiffin.....G-MAC Outdoor Second Team as the hammer throw runner-up (163-0).....established season outdoor bests of in the hammer (163-9) at the All-Ohio Championship as well as the discus (116-2) at the G-MAC Championship.....career-best shot put (41-6) also took place at the G-MAC.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2016 - Competed in three indoor meets as a freshman before going down with an injury.....best weight throw was 50-9.25 and best shot put was 40-3.25 - both at the Tiffin Open.....did not compete during the outdoor season.

High School - Produced a record-setting prep career at Rootstown High School.....two-time All-American at the USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the hammer.....three-time Ohio Division III state hammer champion.....indoor state champion in the weight throw as a senior.....state runner-up as a junior.....posted personal bests of 201-1 in the hammer, 66-8.50 in the weight throw, 50-9 in the shot put, and 143-6 in the discus.....four-time scholar-athlete.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a biology major at Cedarville University.....born 1/8/97 in Akron, OH.....son of Jess and Karen Hluch.....younger brother, Conner, is a freshman track & field athlete at Walsh University.
