Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Michael Gardner is a third-year sprinter for the Yellow Jackets.....participated in the outdoor 400 meters with a top time of 52.77 seconds at Cedarville.....ran the 800 meters during the indoor season.....best mark was 2:06.16 at Youngstown State.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2011 - Competed in the 200 and 400 meter distances in three indoor meets.....participated in the 100 and 200 outdoors in the American Mideast Conference Championship on the home track.

High School - Three-year letter winner on the track at Falmouth High School.....earned indoor all-state honors in the 4 x 200 relay and was all-state outdoors in the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400.....member of two indoor and two outdoor state championship teams.....program won three indoor and three outdoor Western Maine titles.....qualified for the New England Track & Field Championships in the indoor 600 and 4 x 200 as well as the outdoor 4 x 100 and 4 x 400.....achieved two letters in four seasons of soccer.....helped team win state title and Western Maine championship as a senior.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a mechanical engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 2/6/92 in Portland, ME.....son of Bob and Sallie Gardner.....older brother, Scott, is a senior distance runner for the Yellow Jackets.....has a younger brother, Adam.
