Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Mike Herrera is in his third season with the Yellow Jackets as a multi-event athlete.....NCCAA Outdoor champion in the decathlon with 5,633 points which is the 7th-best total in school history.....effort helped lead the Yellow Jackets to the team title.....finished 4th at the Cincinnati Open.....American Mideast Conference runner-up in the pole vault with a career-best mark of 13-feet 11.25-inches.....established a PR indoors at 12-11.50 at the NCCAA Championship.

2010 - Participated in the pole vault as a freshman.....best indoor mark was 12-feet 7.50-inches at the Findlay Open.....top effort outdoors was also 12-7.50 at the Miami Invitational.

High School - Three-year letter winner in track & field at Prairie Central High School.....state qualifier as a junior and senior.....earned two letters in football.....member of conference championship team.....also participated in basketball.

Personal - Youth ministry major at Cedarville University.....born 5/24/91 in Pontiac, IL.....married Lady Jacket track & field athlete Rachel (Meister) on June 5, 2010.....son of Manuel Herrera and Kendra Lynch.....has one older brother and a younger sister.
