Biography
Paul Ikeda wraps up his Yellow Jacket career in the race walk.....narrowly missed NAIA All-America indoor honors in the 3K walk by finishing 7th in a personal-best mark of 14:26.70.....placed 3rd in the American Mideast Conference 5K walk during the outdoor campaign in a season-best 25:35.32.....qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Championship.
2008-09 - Placed 15th at the NAIA Indoor Championship in the 3K walk with a season-best time of 15:28.44.....finished 5th in the AMC 5K walk in 24:54.25 for his fastest outdoor mark.....also qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Championship.....saw action in two varsity cross country meets as a sophomore.....fastest time in the 8K was 30:40 at the Aquinas Invitational.
2007-08 - Saw action in two indoor meets during the winter.....competed in the 800 meters both times with a mark of 2:14.02 at the Capital Invitational.....did not run during the outdoor season.....ran in four varsity cross country meets as a freshman.....turned in a best time of 30:12 at the Cedarville Invitational.
High School - Participated in cross country, track & field, and soccer at Shorecrest High School.....earned letters in cross country and track.....served as an alternate on the 2006 state meet cross country team.....recognized as the program’s Most Improved Runner in 2003.....recipient of Washington State Academic Award.
Personal - Electrical engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 9/14/88 in Shoreline, WA.....son of Glen and Cindy Ikeda.....has one younger sister.
