Biography
Rob Trennepohl is a four-year distance runner at Cedarville University.....coming off a successful cross country season in which he was among CU’s top seven finishers in six of the eight meets.....NCCAA All-American by placing 4th in 26:23 as the first Yellow Jacket runner to cross the finish line.....American Mideast Conference Second Team performer with a time of 27:16 to place 8th overall.....had a career-best effort of 26:03 in the 8K at Aquinas finishing 33rd of 228 competitors.
2007-08 - Placed 10th in the NCCAA indoor 5,000 meters in 15:54.91.....ran a career-best 32.56.04 in the outdoor 10K at the Emory Invitational.....placed 3rd in the AMC 10K in 34:05.11.....ran in all eight varsity cross country meets and was among the team’s top seven finishers seven times.....put together a season-best time in the 8K of 26:49 twice at the NAIA Region IX Championship and the NCCAA Nationals.....All-AMC honorable mention after placing 18th of 127 runners in the regional.....Jackets’ #2 finisher at the NAIA Nationals.....NAIA and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.
2006-07 - Placed 10th in the NCCAA indoor 5K in 16:02.07 and 10th in the outdoor 10K in 34:59.78.....finished 5th in the AMC 10K with a season-best time of 33:21.59.....best time in the outdoor 5K was 15:50.77.....did not run during the cross country season.
2005-06 - Competed in two outdoor track & field meets in the 5K and 10K during his rookie season.....appeared in five varsity cross country meets as a freshman.....posted a season-best time of 27:18 in the 8K at the Louisville Classic as CU's #7 finisher.....placed 50th of 122 runners at the Cedarville Invitational in 27:21.
High School - Earned four cross country letters at Division I Fairfield High School.....three-time All-Greater Miami Conference selection.....part of 2002 league title squad that placed 5th in the state.....ran a career-best 16:45 in the cross country 5K.....four-year letter winner on the track.....earned All-GMC honors in the 3,200 meters as a senior with a personal-best time of 9:53.....member of 4 x 800 meter relay team that qualified for the regional.....three-time GMC All-Academic choice.
Personal - Dean’s List student as a finance and accounting major at Cedarville University.....born 4/3/87 in Cincinnati, OH.....son of Bob and Sue Trennepohl.....older sister, Sheri, is a CU graduate.
