Biography
Seth Campbell is in his final season in the Yellow Jacket track & field program competing in the race walk and distance running events.....saw action in six varsity cross country meets in the fall.....Jackets’ #6 finisher at the NAIA Nationals in 27:00 for the 8K.
2007-08 - NAIA Outdoor All-American on the track in the 5,000 meter race walk by finishing 3rd in 23:46.42.....had a career-best mark of 23:31 in the Cedarville Challenge.....placed 4th in the indoor 3K walk in a personal-best time of 13:58.37 for NAIA All-America honors.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....ran in seven varsity meets during the cross country season and was among the team’s top seven finishers six times.....turned in a career-best time of 26:25 in the Cedarville Invitational to place 12th of 180 runners.
2006-07 - Participated in the 5K race walk three times during the outdoor track & field season.....placed 4th in the AMC Championship in 25:05.96.....missed NAIA All-America honors by one spot after placing 7th at the nationals in 26:36.15.....did not compete in indoor track or run cross country.
2005-06 - NCCAA Indoor All-American as a freshman in the distance medley with the foursome placing 3rd.....helped lead Jackets to NCCAA indoor title.....posted season-best times of 4:34.41 in the indoor mile and 4:08.48 in the outdoor 1,500.....appeared in five varsity cross country meets as a freshman.....posted a season-best time of 27:13 at the Cedarville Invitational.
High School - Three-year letter winner in cross country at Grand Rapids Baptist High School.....three-time All-River Valley Conference runner and a two-time state qualifier.....regional champion as a senior and placed 9th in the state.....team MVP as a sophomore.....member of three conference championship teams and squad qualified for 2004 state meet.....participated in track & field for one season and team won league title.....three-year letter winner in tennis and was 2003 team MVP.....played one season of soccer.....National Honor Society student.
Personal - Carries an accounting and finance double major at Cedarville University with a minor in music.....guitarist in CU Jazz Band.....born 3/2/87 in Portland, ME.....son of Thomas and Mary Kay Campbell.....older brother, Dan, was a four-year distance runner with the Yellow Jackets.....also has two younger sisters.
