Biography
Travis Smith wraps up his four-year Cedarville career in the sprints and jumps.....placed 6th in the NCCAA indoor long jump at 19-feet 8-inches and was 7th in the triple jump at 40-8.25.....posted career indoor bests of 20-1.75 in the long jump at the Cedarville Invitational and 41-4.50 in the triple jump at Findlay.....finished 9th in the outdoor long jump in the American Mideast Conference with a career-best mark of 19-11.50.....placed 9th in the triple jump at the NCCAA Outdoor Championship with a personal-best 41-8.75 effort.
2007 - Posted a season-best outdoor triple jump of 41-6 in the Cedarville Qualifier.....placed 8th in the AMC at 39-1.....best indoor effort was 39-8.50 at Findlay.....had a season-best long jump of 19-9 outdoors in the CU Open with a season-best indoor effort of 18-5.25 at Ohio Northern.....recorded personal bests outdoors in the 100 meter dash (11.74) at the AMC Championship and indoors in the 55 meters (6.81) at the NCCAA Championship.
2006 - Fastest time outdoors in the 100 meter dash was 11.91 seconds during freshman season.....also participated in the long jump (17-11.25) and triple jump (38-5).....best effort in the indoor long jump was 18-3.75 and top mark in the triple jump was 37-1.
High School - Graduate of Ocala Word of Faith Academy where he competed in one season of basketball and led team to the best record in school history.....named to the Florida Christian Athletic League First Team.....set single season school records for points (337) and assists (81).....previously attended West Port High School where he participated in track & field for three seasons with two letters.....also played three seasons of basketball and one season of football.
Personal - Carries a business marketing major at Cedarville University.....born 12/14/86 in Ocala, FL.....son of Nathaniel Smith and Cheryl Lonon.....has three older sisters and two older brothers.
