Wyatt Hartman is a four-year distance runner at CU.....participated in seven cross country meets and was among team’s top four each time.....NCCAA All-American for the second straight year finishing 6th in 25:36 for the 8K for runner-up team.....turned in a career-best 25:33 at the Lewis Cross-Over.....helped Jackets to fifth straight G-MAC championship placing 5th in 26:59.....G-MAC First Team.....led squad at NCAA Division II Midwest Regional finishing 58th of 218 in a 10K career-best 32:08.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.
2015-16 - NCCAA Outdoor 4 x 800 meter relay champion.....joined Tim De Jong, Ethan Gatchell, and Daniel Michalski to post a school-record time of 7:35.94.....NCCAA Outdoor All-American as well in the 1,500 placing 3rd in career-best 3:54.53.....registered other outdoor PR’s at the Yellow Jacket open in the 800 (1:56.05) and 5K 15:54.52.....G-MAC Outdoor Second Team.....league runner-up in the 1,500 meters in 3:56.77 and 5th in the 800 (1:58.41).....G-MAC Indoor First Team performer as 800 meter champion in 1:57.22.....placed 6th in 3K in career-best 9:18.19.....established PR’s of 1:57.06 in the 800 at the Cedarville Indoor and 4:15.41 in the mile at Grand Valley State.....member of distance medley team that set the school record at also Grand Valley State.....joined Sam Harper, Forrest Thayer, and Daniel Michalski to turn in a time of 10:02.91.....ran in all seven cross country meets during the 2015 campaign and finished among the team’s top seven every time.....NCCAA All-American by placing 11th overall in a season-best 25:39 for the 8K.....helped lead CU to the NCCAA title.....G-MAC Second Team after finishing 12th in 27:26 for conference title squad.....CoSIDA Division II Academic All-District Team.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.
2014-15 - Placed 4th in the G-MAC Indoor 800 meters with a season-best time of 1:59.86.....best mile was 4:25.08 in the Cedarville Collegiate.....finished 4th in the mile at the NCCAA Indoor (4:27.06).....did not compete during the outdoor schedule.....appeared in six cross country meets during his sophomore campaign.....posted a season-best 8K of 26:19 in the All-Ohio Championship.....placed 26th of 173 at Carnegie Mellon in 26:33.....finished 18th in the Friendship Invitational in 26:52.....race day scratch from the G-MAC Championship because of illness.....registered 10K time of 34:46 in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.....G-MAC Academic Team.
2013-14 - Outstanding year on the track as a freshman.....NCCAA Indoor All-American in two events as a runner-up in the distance medley (10:16.92) and 3rd place in the mile (4:21.52).....G-MAC runner-up in the 4 x 400 relay (3:29.30) for all-conference second team recognition.....fastest outdoor marks were 1:58.08 in the 800 meters and 3:56.19 in the 1,500.....ran in four varsity cross country meets.....best 8K mark was 26:56 to place 10th in the G-MAC Championship for all-conference first team honors.....finished 63rd of 231 competitors in the NCCAA Championship in 27:22.
High School - Four-year letter winner in cross country at Maplewood High School.....two-time All-Ohio Division III performer.....placed 12th in the state as a junior and 18th as a senior.....helped team to a fourth-place finish in Ohio in 2009 and 2012.....named to the All-Northeastern Athletic Conference First Team four years.....achieved four letters in track & field.....2012 state runner-up in the 1,600 meters.....state runner-up in the 800 in both 2011 and 2013.....also a state runner-up in the 4 x 800 relay in both 2010 and 2012.....graduated with school records in the 800 (1:53.37) and 1,600 (4:13.35), 4 x 400, and 4 x 800.....outdoor 800 champion in the county, conference, district, and region.....state indoor champion in the 800 and 4 x 800 as a senior.....Academic All-Ohio.....Wendy’s High School Heisman state finalist.....valedictorian of graduating class.....National Honor Society student.
Personal - Dean’s List student as a mechanical engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 7/19/94 in Warren, OH.....son of Richard and Tina Hartman.....older sister, Alyssa, ran track and cross country at Taylor University.....has another older sister, Kayleigh.
