Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Avary Humes is in her third season with the Lady Jacket softball program.....appeared in 51 games with 44 starts including 43 in the outfield.....batted .306 (37-for-121) with a second-best 10 doubles and 37 runs batted in.....ranked second with 10 multiple RBI games and third on the squad with a .438 slugging percentage.....scored a fifth-best 28 runs.....knocked in a career-high five runs batted in including a pair of doubles in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) game against visiting Kentucky Wesleyan.....recorded three hits including a double, scored two runs and posted two RBI’s in a 12-0 win over Cincinnati Christian in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Midwest Region championship game.....ranked sixth in the G-MAC with 37 RBI’s.....ended the campaign on a team-best five-game hitting streak.....NCCAA National All-Tournament Team.

2016 - Appeared in 48 contests with 32 starts during the campaign.....posted a fourth-best .303 batting average on a 30-for-99 effort.....tallied four doubles, three triples and 14 runs batted in.....registered a third-best 10 stolen bases in 11 attempts.....ranked fourth with 12 base on balls.....21 runs scored was fifth-best on the team.....top effort at the plate was a 3-for-3 performance with a triple and three RBI’s in a 9-3 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) win over visiting Alderson Broaddus.....posted three base hits in four at bats in a 10-3 G-MAC victory at Salem International.....ranked second on the team with a .391 batting average (9-for-23) with runners in scoring position.....tied for fourth in the G-MAC with three triples.....ended the season on a team-best eight-game hitting streak.

High School - Four-year letter winner in softball at St. Clair High School.....two-time team captain.....all-state honorable mention recognition as a senior.....three-time all-district and all-region performer.....led prep squad to three district titles and two regional championships.....team advanced to final four in 2015.....batted .423 with eight home runs during senior season.....participated in the 2015 All-State Senior All-Star Game and the Blue Water All-Star Game.....starting shortstop for Team Michigan - the 2014 Michigan ASA 16U "A" State Championship squad.....also lettered one year in basketball.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a nursing major at Cedarville University.....born 4/11/97 in Grosse Pointe, MI.....daughter of Scott and Shelly Humes....father played football and baseball at Trinity College.....has one older sister, a younger brother and a younger sister.
