Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Brianne O’Dell is in her third season with the Lady Jacket softball squad.....started all 59 games last spring.....started 38 contests at shortstop and 16 games in left field.....led team with a .369 batting average including team highs of 72 hits, 17 doubles, 92 total bases and a .472 slugging percentage.....recorded a team-best 23 multiple hit games.....ranked second with 27 runs scored and third in runs batted in with 27.....produced a 7-for-8 outing at the plate in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) doubleheader at Kentucky Wesleyan.....drove home a season-high three runs in a non-league win over visiting West Liberty and in a G-MAC home victory against Ohio Valley.....batted a team-best .414 (29-for-70) with runners in scoring position.....ranked first in the G-MAC in base hits (72).....rated fourth in the G-MAC in doubles (17).....seventh-best in the G-MAC in total bases (92).....ranked eighth in the G-MAC with a .369 batting mark.....ranks in the Top 10 of four all-time hitting categories - second in batting average (.376), fourth in sacrifice flies (6), tenth in RBI’s (73), tenth in slugging percentage (.486).....NCCAA Midwest Region Team.....G-MAC First Team.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2015 - Started all 54 games she appeared in during the campaign.....led the team in hitting with a .385 batting average.....registered a team-high 13 doubles.....produced a team-best five sacrifice flies and second-best hits (65), runs batted in (46) and total bases (85) - all four appear in Top 10 CU all-time single season rankings.....recorded a season-high four RBI’s in a 7-0 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) victory at Alderson Broaddus.....tallied a season-high four hits in a 12-5 non-conference win at Urbana.....led Cedarville in multiple hit games (18), multiple RBI games (14), longest hitting streak (13 games) and consecutive games reached base (18 games).....NCCAA Midwest Region Team.....G-MAC First Team.....G-MAC Freshman Team.

High School - Produced a three-sport prep career at Northridge High School.....four-year letter winner in softball.....helped team to a pair of sectional and regional championships.....garnered All-State First Team honors as a senior.....three-time all-conference.....school career record holder in batting average (.455), hits (158), doubles (42), RBI’s (132), and sacrifice hits (46).....holds single season records in six categories.....earned Academic All-State honors as a senior.....member of the Michiana Mystique travel team which won the ASA/USA national championship in 2007.....four-year letter winner in soccer.....three-time all-conference performer.....all-state honorable mention in 2013.....set school record for most assists in a career with 28.....four-year letter winner in basketball.....member of 2014 sectional championship squad.....all-conference first team honoree.....All-State Academic performer in 2014.....selected Northridge High School Female Athlete of the Year as a senior.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a pharmacy major at Cedarville University.....born 1/5/96 in Goshen, IN.....daughter of James and Shana O’Dell.....mother was a four-year softball player at Kent State University, a two-time All-Mid-America Conference selection and the 1992 CoSIDA Academic All-America Player of the Year.....younger sister, Bailey, is a freshman member of the Huntington University soccer team.....also has another younger sister.
