Bailey Curry is the Lady Jacket softball assistant coach beginning with the 2023-24 academic year.
Curry served as a graduate assistant coach at NCAA Division I Bellarmine University during the 2023 campaign following a five-year DI playing career.
The Frankfort, Ky. product used her Covid year to play at Western Kentucky in 2022. She started all 51 contests for the 38-13 Hilltoppers and set a school record with 18 multi-RBI games.
She batted .296 in her only season at WKU with 12 home runs and 48 RBI which ranks fifth on the program’s all-time list.
Curry played at Louisiana Lafayette from 2019 through 2021. She was a .298 career hitter in 130 games for the Ragin’ Cajuns with 15 homers and 69 RBI.
She started her collegiate career at Toledo where she was the 2018 Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year. She batted .362 with a school-record 14 home runs and 46 RBI - all team highs.
During a record-setting prep career, Curry was a three-time all-state first team performer at Anderson County High School in Kentucky. She was a four-time Region Player of the Year and graduated with a state record 75 home runs.
Curry earned a degree in general studies from the University of Louisiana Lafayette in 2021 as well as a master’s in recreation and sport administration from Western Kentucky University in 2022.
