Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Danae Fields is in her third season with the CU women’s softball squad.....started all 45 games she appeared in during the 2018 campaign.....led the Lady Jackets with 27 runs scored.....tied for second on the team with 24 runs batted in.....ranked second with 21 stolen bases in 23 attempts while ranking fifth in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) in swipes.....posted a sixth-best 34 base hits including two doubles and a triple.....topped the squad with 10 sacrifice hits.....registered seven two-hit games during the season.....recorded a season-high 12 putouts in a G-MAC win over visiting Lake Erie......a .982 career fielding percentage ranks second all-time at CU.....43 career stolen bases is ninth on the all-time CU list.....has a fourth-best .915 career stolen base percentage (43-of-47).....G-MAC Academic Team.

2017 - Appeared in 40 games with 39 starts - 36 at first base and three as designated hitter.....posted a fourth-best .344 batting average with a third-most 44 base hits.....registered a second-best 36 runs scored which ranked sixth in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).....ranked second with 13 multiple-hit games including a season-high three-hit performance to go with a season-high three RBI’s in a 13-9 G-MAC win at Trevecca.....led the team and fourth-best in the G-MAC with 22 stolen bases out of 24 attempts (.917).....stole a season-high three bases in a G-MAC contest versus Malone at Lady Jacket Field.....G-MAC Second Team.....G-MAC Freshmen Team.

High School - Four-year letter winner at John Glenn High School.....three-year starter at shortstop, pitcher and first base.....earned All-Ohio honors as well as all-district and Muskingum Valley League (MVL) First Team recognition as a senior.....member of the 2015 MVL Second Team.....also participated in volleyball for one season.

Personal - Dean’s List student as an exercise science major at Cedarville University.....born 5/18/98 in Zanesville, OH.....daughter of Herb and Shelley Fields.....has an older sister, a younger brother and two younger sisters.
