Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Emily Young is the Lady Jackets’ top returning pitcher for the 2010 season.....made a team-high 22 appearances last spring.....also recorded team bests in wins (8), innings pitched (121 2/3), strikeouts (79), starts (17) and complete games (14).....collegiate debut was a complete-game shutout allowing just three singles with eight K’s against Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.....tallied a season-high nine strikeouts in seven innings of action in a 4-1 verdict at Malone.....registered 111 at bats mostly as designated hitter.....posted a fourth-best .243 batting average and a .342 slugging percentage.....tallied three doubles, one triple and two home runs.

High School - Played first three years of softball at Marion Pleasant High School.....played final season at Rutherford B. Hayes High School in Delaware, OH.....registered a 1.00 ERA her senior campaign while batting .350.....earned OCC Second Team honors as a senior.....garnered MOAC First Team honors as a junior and Second Team recognition as a sophomore.....four-time MOAC Scholar-Athlete.....four-year letter winner in bowling.....four-year member of MOAC First Team as a bowler.....earned three letters in cross country at Marion Pleasant.
