Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Kaityln Woerner is in her final collegiate softball season with the Lady Jackets.....appeared in 46 of 53 games.....made 43 starts at catcher and one as a designated hitter.....tied for third with a .344 batting average.....produced a fourth-best 42 base hits with a third-best nine doubles.....scored 15 runs while contributing 18 runs batted in.....recorded 12 multiple-hit games.....tallied three hits in games against Quincy, Malone and Kentucky Wesleyan.....wiped out 17 of 34 base runners attempting to steal.....ranks fourth all-time at Cedarville with a career .973 fielding percentage.....NCCAA Midwest Region Team.

2016 - Appeared in 42 games with 35 starts as a catcher.....batted .267 with five doubles and three RBI’s.....recorded a second-best 141 putouts while posting a .977 fielding percentage behind the plate.....went 3-for-3 with two doubles and three runs scored in a 12-4 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) win over visiting Ohio Valley.....ranks second all-time at Cedarville with a .982 fielding mark.

2015 - Appeared in 43 of the 61 games with all 28 starts as a catcher.....posted a .206 batting average with three doubles and six runs batted in.....drove in two runs with a double in CU’s 10-2 win over Wilmington DE during the annual Spring Break trip to Clermont, Florida.....handled 155 chances behind the plate with just two errors for a .987 fielding percentage.....threw out 19 of 28 attempts for stolen bases.

High School - Participated in two sports at Rutherford B. Hayes High School.....four-year letter winner in softball....four-time all-district recognition.....four-time All-Ohio Capital Conference honoree.....two-time Defensive Player of the Year awardee.....four-year softball scholar-athlete.....two-year letter winner in volleyball.....two-time all-district selection.....four-year volleyball scholar-athlete.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a social work major at Cedarville University.....born 6/9/96 in Delaware, OH.....daughter of Jeff and Mary Woerner....has one younger brother.
