Former Lady Jacket All-American Abby Wolford joins the women’s basketball coaching staff for the 2020-21 season.
The West Harrison, Indiana native was selected to the 2020 NCCAA All-America Second Team. She was a three-time All-G-MAC player, was twice selected to the G-MAC All-Defensive Team, and three times achieved academic all-conference recognition.
Wolford scored 1,319 points during her four-year career to rank 19th on Cedarville’s all-time list. She graduated with a career free throw percentage of .773 which rates seventh.
She played her first two seasons from 2014-16, sat out two consecutive campaigns with a knee injury, and then returned in 2018 to serve as a team captain for her final two years.
Wolford was a member of three G-MAC regular season championship teams including the 2015 G-MAC Tournament title squad that grabbed an at-large berth to the NCAA Division II Championship.
Wolford earned a multi-age health and physical education degree at Cedarville and is pursuing a master’s in business administration from the University.
