John Leonzo returned to Cedarville University as an assistant coach with the Lady Jackets in 2016-17.
He is involved in all facets of the program especially recruiting, player development, and scouting.
Leonzo previously served as a student assistant on the men’s basketball staff from 2011-15.
During the interim, he was the basketball coordinator at Spooky Nook Sports - the largest indoor sports complex in the country. He conducted player development workouts for athletes ranging from top area high school athletes to professionals.
The Harrisburg, Pa. native is the creator of John Leonzo Basketball in which he ran his own camp clinics and workouts.
Other experiences include coaching AAU teams as well as working camps for the University of Virginia and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Leonzo is a 2015 graduate of Cedarville University with a degree in multi-age physical education.
John and his wife, Lydia, who is the administrative assistant for the School of Allied Health at the University, reside in Cedarville.
