Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Julie Utz joins the Lady Jackets for her second full season of competition.....one of three captains on the squad.....added to the roster as a freshman and sophomore following her JV responsibilities.....appeared in 15 contests during the 2008-09 campaign.....hit two of her four field goal attempts......tallied three of five from the charity stripe.

High School - Enjoyed a three-sport career at Mars Area High School.....four-year letter winner in basketball.....team captured two section titles and playoff berths in four consecutive seasons.....WPIAL AAA Championship runner-up in 2004-05.....named to the All-County Second Team as a senior.....selected for the Cager Classic and Western PA Roundball Classic All-Star Games.....finished high school career with 415 assists.....selected the 2006 Most Valuable Woman Athlete at Mars High School.....four-year letter winner in track & field.....member of the 2006 state qualifying 1600 meter relay team.....two-year letter winner in soccer.....earned team’s Best Defensive Player honor.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Middle childhood education major as a Dean’s List student at Cedarville University.....born 7/22/87 in Gibsonia, PA.....daughter of Bob and Connie Utz.....has three older brothers.....middle brother, Corey, played basketball at Westminster College.
