Biography
Regina Hochstetler is back for her fourth season with the Lady Jackets.....one of five seniors on the 2018-19 team.....will serve as a captain.....started all 21 games she appeared in before dealing with another season-ending knee injury......led CU in scoring with 17.8 points per game.....ranked second on the squad in three-point field goals (53), steals (30), free throw percentage (.849).....registered a fourth-best 58 assists.....buried a career-high 36 points in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) 72-70 win at Ohio Dominican.....hauled in a season-high eight rebounds during a league road victory at Lake Erie.....tallied a season-high seven assists in a one-point G-MAC win at Davis & Elkins.....hit for double figures in 19 of the 21 games played before suffering injury.....registered 20+ points on eight occasions during the 2017-18 campaign.....all-time leader in CU women’s basketball at the free throw line with an .872 mark on 177-of-203 shooting.....NCCAA All-America First Team.....NCCAA Midwest Region Player of the Year.....NCCAA Midwest Region First Team.....G-MAC First Team.
2016-17 - Produced a solid overall return to action in after missing the previous season.....started all 29 games she appeared in.....led team in scoring (14.9 ppg), assists (106) and free throw shooting (.900).....hit for a second-best 64 three-point field goals.....hit for double figure scoring in 23 games......fired in a career-high 25 points with a career-best nine assists in an 81-71 road win at Alderson Broaddus in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) action.....scored 20+ points in six other contests.....the 81-of-90 (.900) from the charity stripe ranks first all-time at CU for a single season, was the top effort in the G-MAC and was fourth-best in the NCAA II during 2016-17 action.....NCCAA Midwest Region Team.....G-MAC Second Team.
2015-16 - Claimed red shirt status due to suffering a season-ending injury in the second game of the campaign after scoring 10 points - including a pair of three-pointers - against Ohio Dominican.
2014-15 - Appeared in 30 of the 31 games.....one of seven rookies on the team.....averaged seven points and 1.6 rebounds per game.....led team at the free throw line with a .850 effort on 34-of-40.....connected for a fourth-best 32 three-point FG’s.....contributed 33 assists and 13 steals.....tossed in a season-high 17 points in a 101-72 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) win over visiting Alderson Broaddus.....hit for double-digit scoring in seven other contests.....posted a season-high three assists on five occasions.....garnered a season-high six boards in an early season league victory at Ursuline.....G-MAC Freshmen Team member.
High School - Produced an outstanding four-year career at Hiland High School.....four-year letter winner in basketball.....member of two-time Ohio Division IV runner-up squad....earned All-Ohio First Team honors as a senior after averaging 18.7 points per game......East District Player of the Year and District 5 First Team recognition as a senior.....Inter Valley Conference Player of the Year.....appeared in Ohio North/South All-Star game.....averaged 17.7 ppg as a junior to garner All-Ohio special mention.....named the Division 4 District 5 Coaches’ Association Player of the Year.....District 5 First Team selection.....IVC First Team honors.....District 5 and all-conference second team and as a freshman.....completed prep career with 1,467 points.
