Biography
Bethany Norman is in her fourth year at Cedarville University.....serves as a team captain.....All-G-MAC Second Team placing 9th in 24:29 for the 6K.....helped Lady Jackets win their fourth straight league title.....recorded a career-best 23:33 in the All-Ohio Championship.....established a new PR in the 5K of 19:26 to finish 29th at Evansville.....G-MAC Indoor Second Team as the runner-up in the 3,000 meters.....did not compete outdoors.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.
2014 - Appeared in five varsity meets as a sophomore.....fastest 6K mark was 24:47 to place 27th at the G-MAC Championship.....ran a season-low 5K of 20:21 to finish 18th in the Cedarville Open.....ran the middle distance events during the track & field season.....G-MAC Academic Team.
2013 - Sat out her freshman cross country season with injuries.....competed in the 1,500 meters in five outdoor track & field meets.
High School - Produced an outstanding career at Xenia Christian High School.....four-year letter winner in both cross country and track & field for the Ambassadors.....two-time All-Ohio performer in cross country.....guided her team to four Metro Buckeye Conference titles.....four-time conference MVP.....posted a career-best 5K time of 18:34.....best finish in the state meet was 6th place as a sophomore.....three-time MBC track champion in both the 1,600 and 3,200.....garnered 1,600 meter district titles as a freshman, sophomore, and senior.....All-Ohio on the track as a freshman and senior.....won a total of 72 prep races - 26 in cross country and 46 on the track.....also earned three letters in swimming and was a member of the basketball team as a freshman.
Personal - Dean’s List student as a nursing major at Cedarville University.....born 8/4/95 in Morgantown, WV.....daughter of Timothy and Robin Norman.....father is a professor of mechanical and biomedical engineering at the University.....mother was a distance runner at Purdue.....younger sister, Grace, who is a freshman at CU, won the gold medal in the triathlon at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio and the bronze medal in the 400 meters.....has another younger sister, Danielle.
