Sharie Bolender, a former standout distance runner with the Lady Jackets, works along side her husband, Jeff, who is the head coach. She is also an assistant coach with the track & field team working with the women’s distance runners.
Sharie, who is a 1993 graduate of Cedarville College with a marketing and management degree, was a four-year runner in the Lady Jacket program. She was a two-time NCCAA All-American in cross country and was a member of Cedarville's 1991 Mid-Ohio Conference and NCCAA national championship team. She was also a two-time NCCAA national champion on the track in the 1,500 meter run.
The Bolenders reside in Cedarville with their three children: a son Daniel, 17; older daughter, Molly, 16; and younger daughter, Isabelle, 12.
