Elizabeth Bassette is in her second season with the Lady Jacket distance running program after transferring from NCAA Division III Castleton University.....will serve as one of five captains during the 2018 campaign.....did not participate in cross country last fall due to redshirt status.....G-MAC Academic Team.....NCCAA Indoor Champion as part of the 4 x 800 meter relay.....NCCAA Indoor All-American.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2016-17 - Served as team captain at Castleton.....named North Atlantic Conference (NAC) First Team All-Conference after placing fourth at the NAC Championship as a third-year cross country performer.....tallied three Top 10 finishes.....recorded a season-best 5K time of 19:54.88 at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational.....finished second in the 1,000 meters with a time of 3:15.08 at the Middlebury Winter Indoor Classic.....placed second in the 600 meters (1:45.63) at the Pioneer Indoor Invitational.....produced a second-place outing in the 800 meters (2:23.91) and a fifth-place effort in the long jump (15-4.75) at the NAC Outdoor Championships.....member of the 4 x 400 meter relay (4:33.57) squad that finished third in the league championship meet.

2015-16 - Named NAC First Team.....two-time NAC Runner of the Week selection.....placed first on the team in four races.....top overall finisher at the Green Mountain Invitational.....three Top 10 finishes during the campaign.....selected Team MVP during the indoor track & field season.....produced a top-five finish in the 800 meters at the Middlebury Indoor Invitational.....placed fifth in the 1,000 meters at the Middlebury Winter Indoor Classic.....took home three Top 10 finishes during the spring season.....recorded two top-three finishes in the 800 meters.

2014-15 - Earned NAC Rookie of the Week honors four times during the cross country campaign.....top finisher in seven races for Castleton University.

High School - Homeschool graduate....one-year cross country performer at Woodstock Union High School.....four-year track & field participant.....member of four state championship teams.....four-time state of Vermont champion in the triple jump.....garnered three state .....holds Vermont Division 3 state records in the long and triple jumps.....four-year nordic skiing participant.....three-year soccer participant.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a nursing major at Cedarville University.....born 8/21/95 in Hartland, VT.....daughter of John and Donna-Lee Bassette.....has four older brothers, two younger brothers and two younger sisters.....older brothers, James and Joshua, were members of the nordic skiing program at West Point.....younger sister, Kathryn, is a junior at Hillsdale College and a pole vaulter on the track & field team.
