2012 Women's Cross Country Roster
Biography
Meghan Terrell returns for her fourth season of cross country with the Lady Jackets.....recovered from injury as a junior to have her finest year.....NCCAA All-American placing 9th as CU’s #2 finisher in a season-best 5K mark of 18:55.....placed 5th of 59 at the Ohio Independent Championship in 19:49.....finished 26th of 361 at the 6K Gettysburg Invite in 25:04.....NCCAA indoor champion on the track in the distance medley.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete in both cross country and track & field.
2010 - Ran in seven varsity meets as a junior and was among CU’s top seven six times.....career-best time was 18:54 at the American Mideast Conference Championship to place 19th overall.....finished 16th at Walsh in 19:15.....repeated as an NCCAA Outdoor All-American in the 3,000 meter steeplechase and was the AMC runner-up.....qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Championship.
2009 - Made her collegiate debut at Shawnee State with a time of 22:25 for the 5K.....missed the rest of the season with an injury and earned her freshman season of eligibility back after being granted a medical hardship by the NAIA.....competed in the distance events on the track.....NCCAA Outdoor All-American in the 3,000 meter steeplechase placing 3rd in 11:40.20.....NAIA qualifier in the indoor distance medley relay as well as outdoors in the steeplechase.
High School - Four-year distance runner at Homestead High School.....competed in three seasons of cross country for the Spartans.....member of back-to-back sectional championship teams as a junior and senior.....twice named to the All-Northeast Hoosier Conference Second Team.....graduated with school record in the cross country 5K at 19:24.....four-year letter winner in track & field.....member of two conference title teams and one sectional championship squad.....All-NHC First Team performer in the 4 x 800 meter relay.
Personal - Dean’s List student as a nursing major at Cedarville University.....born 6/4/90 in Fort Wayne, IN.....daughter of Mark and Colleen Terrell.....both parents were athletes at Taylor University where older brother, Trevor, played football.....older brother, Zach, is a freshman quarterback at Western Michigan.....has another younger brother, Hunter.
