Biography
Nicole Santos returns for her final season with the Lady Jackets following an outstanding junior campaign.....repeated as an NAIA All-American by placing 12th in 18:08.....NCCAA runner-up in 18:14 for All-America honors for the second consecutive year.....paced Cedarville to NAIA runner-up finish and NCCAA title.....American Mideast Conference/NAIA Region IX champion with a career-best time of 17:55 for the 5K.....finished 18th of 296 runners in the All-Ohio Intercollegiate.....repeated as an NAIA Indoor All-American on the track in the 5,000 meters.....NCCAA indoor champion in the 5K.....NAIA and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.
2006 - Ran in all eight varsity meets as the team’s #3 runner in her first season of cross country.....NAIA All-American with a season-low time of 18:35 which placed 21st of 268 competitors.....placed 10th in 19:25 at the NCCAA Nationals for All-America honors.....All-AMC Second Team performer with an 8th-place effort in 18:37 at the AMC/NAIA Region IX Championship.....three-time NAIA All-American on the track achieving the recognition in the indoor 5K as well as the outdoor 5K and 10K.....NCCAA All-American in the indoor 5K and outdoor 10K.....American Mideast Conference runner-up in both the 5K and 10K.
2005 - Ran on the track & field squad as a freshman.....qualified for the NAIA Indoor Nationals in the 3,000 meters and posted a preliminary time of 10:46.13.....had a season-best 10:45.0 to place 8th at the NCCAA Indoor Nationals.....finished 5th in the 10K outdoors at the NCCAA Nationals in a career-best 39:33.83.....also 5th in the AMC Championship.
High School - Completed a two-sport high school career.....homeschool student, who was a two-year letter winner in track & field at Piscataguis Community High School.....placed 6th in the mile run and 8th in the 800 meters at the Maine state championships her junior season.....finished 5th in the mile and 7th in the 800 meters at state meet during senior campaign.....also a one-year letter winner in field hockey.....earned the Coach's Award both junior and senior seasons....National Honor Society student.
Personal - Dean’s List student as a nursing major at Cedarville University.....born 8/29/87 in Dover-Foxcroft, ME.....daughter of Frank and Tracy Santos.....has one younger brother.
