Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Carla Halvorson returns for a third season with the CU women’s soccer squad.....will serve as a co-captain this fall.....appeared in 17 matches including one start in 2014.....tied for a fourth-best four goals and ranked sixth in scoring with eight points.....tallied a pair of goals including the game-winner in a 2-0 verdict at Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) foe Kentucky Wesleyan.....also scored goals on the home turf against G-MAC opponents Ohio Valley and Salem International.....13 of 16 shots were on goal (.812).....G-MAC Academic Team.

2013 - Appeared in seven contests during her freshman campaign.....took two shots with one on goal in limited action on the front line.

High School - Participated in three sports at Easton Senior High School.....four-year starter and three-time captain on prep soccer team.....earned Maine Soccer Coaches Association (MSCA) All-State recognition during junior and senior seasons.....played in the Maine Soccer Coaches Senior Bowl.....three-time member of MSCA All-Eastern Maine Team.....four-time all-league honoree.....ended high school career with a school record 94 goals and 22 assists.....recipient of Maine’s Wendy’s High School Heisman Award.....four-year all-county honors in basketball.....member of McDonald’s Academic All-State Team.....all-county selection in volleyball.....National Honor Society student and 2013 president of the Maine NHS.

Personal - Dean’s List student as an exercise science major at Cedarville University.....born 2/23/95 in Caribou, ME.....daughter of Chuck and Traci Halvorson.....father played two years of collegiate soccer at Bryan followed by two years at Palm Beach Atlantic.....mother was a four-year basketball player at Southern Maine.....younger brother, Cody, is a freshman member of the Yellow Jacket JV soccer program.
