Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Cheyenne Applegate is in first year with the Lady Jacket soccer squad.....competed with the CU women’s cross country team last fall and the track & field team this past spring.....participated in five of the seven cross country meets in 2015.....best 6K performance was a 24:15 at the All-Ohio Championships held at CU’s Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.....placed 23rd with a 25:37 6K effort as Cedarville won it’s fourth-straight Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) title in Elkins, West Virginia.....produced a 19:56 outing over the 5K course at the Evansville Invitational to finish 41st of 108 runners.....part of the Distance Medley Relay (DMR) squad that finished third at the G-MAC Indoor Track & Field Championship with a 13:23.21 performance.....DMR unit placed second (13:32.32) at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational.....member of the 4 x 400 meter relay squad that placed first at the Wilmington Outdoor Invitational with a 4:17.31 effort.....G-MAC Indoor Third Team.....G-MAC Indoor Freshmen Team.

High School - Four-year letter winner in cross country at Grace Christian High School.....placed in the Top 10 at the state championship all four years with a personal-best 5th place.....fastest 5K time was 19:26.....twice named team’s Most Valuable Runner.....Rookie of the Year as a freshman.....member of three-time state championship squad.....earned four letters on the track.....800 meter regional champion as a sophomore.....posts PR’s of 2:24 in the 800 and 5:27 in the 1,600.....part of two state title 4 x 800 meter relay quartets.....member of three-time team state champions.....achieved three letters in cross country skiing.....team won three consecutive state championships.....National Honor Society student.
