Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Dresden Matson is back for her fourth collegiate soccer season with the Lady Jackets this fall.....appeared in all 19 matches with 15 starts on the front line last fall.....posted a goal and an assist for three points.....lone goal of 2010 was the game-winner in a 5-0 American Mideast Conference victory over visiting Carlow.....assisted on a Kelly Wise goal in a 2-1 AMC win against Daemen at Yellow Jacket Field.....third on the team with 13 shots on goal.

2009 - Appeared in five of the 17 matches.....scored the team’s final goal in a 4-0 American Mideast Conference win at Shawnee State.....provides depth and speed to the CU scoring attack.

2008 - Appeared in 10 contests.....scored three goals with just five shots on goal.....one of five freshmen to do all the scoring in an early-season 5-0 whitewash over Grace - scored the fifth and final goal in the 68th minute.....posted two goals in an 8-2 AMC victory versus Malone.

High School - Participated in soccer at Cross Lanes Christian for one year.....played one season of soccer and graduated from George Washington High School.....scored nine goals as a senior.....team’s second-leading scorer.....member of the WV Rowdies travel team that won the Under-16 West Virginia state championship in 2005......also earned a letter in track at George Washington.

Personal - Exercise science major at Cedarville University.....born 12/18/89 in Charleston, WV.....daughter of Mark and Rhonda Matson.....older brother, Jeremiah, is a 2007 graduate of Cedarville and was a member of the ‘05 Yellow Jacket soccer squad.
