Biography
Elizabeth Cox is in her third season with the Lady Jacket soccer squad.....one of three seniors on the 2013 roster.....transferred to CU from Word of Life Seminary in Brazil.....appeared in 16 matches with two starts at the forward position.....tied for second on the team with three goals scored.....CU’s fifth-leading scorer with six points.....posted first collegiate goal in the 71st minute of the 12-0 home shutout of Salem International.....scored the lone Lady Jacket goal with a tally in the 84th minute of a 3-1 setback at Asbury.....found the net in the final regular season contest of 2012 - a 5-1 win over Georgetown KY in a game played at Wright State due to poor field conditions at Lady Jacket Field.....National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Scholar-Athlete.....Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Academic Team.
2011 - Appeared in 11 matches including three starts as a back-up keeper.....posted 272 minutes in the nets in three contests.....allowed six goals with nine saves.....credited with three saves and first career shutout in a 1-0 verdict over visiting Mount Vernon Nazarene.....voted team’s Most Improved Player.....named an NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.
High School - Home school graduate.....attended Midlothian High School in Texas during fall semester of junior year.....earned Academic Excellence Award.
Personal - Dean’s Honor List student as an allied health major at Cedarville University.....born 9/11/91 in Atibaia, Brazil.....daughter of David and Cindy Cox.....has two older brothers and a younger brother....father was inducted into the Cedarville University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008 as a four-year member of the Yellow Jacket soccer team.
