Biography

Kelsey Watkins returns to the Lady Jackets for her final season of collegiate soccer this fall.....appeared in six contests including four starts.....missed 13 matches in 2010 due to a knee injury.....ranks eighth all-time at CU with 16 career goals and tenth all-time with 37 points.....also rates tenth with 97 career shots taken in 37 matches played.

2009 - Appeared in 11 matches with 10 starts at the forward position before suffering a season-ending knee injury.....missed six matches but still finished as team’s leading scorer with 13 points.....tied for team lead with five goals and second on squad with three assists.....registered the lone score in a season-opening 1-0 win versus Taylor......posted an unassisted game-winner in the 2-0 home victory over league opponent Daemen.....tallied a goal and an assist in a 2-0 AMC win at Malone.....NCCAA Midwest Region performer.....American Mideast Conference Second Team selection......also a member of women’s track & field squad but missed the entire season due to rehabilitation from the knee injury.

2008 - Appeared in 20 of the 21 matches including 10 starts on the front line.....team’s second-leading scorer with 11 goals and two assists for 24 points...... ranked 14th in the AMC with 1.2 points per game.....registered a pair of goals in the second contest of the year - a 5-0 win against Grace.....scored goals in CU’s next matches - a 3-2 win over Taylor and a 4-1 AMC victory versus Carlow.....scored a pair of goals in a 5-1 league win over Point Park.....tallied both CU markers in a shutout win against Grace in the NCCAA Midwest Region semifinal..... named to the NCCAA Midwest Region Team...... American Mideast Conference Third Team selection.....participated on the CU track & field squad as a sprinter and hurdler.....earned NCCAA Outdoor All-America honors in the 100 meter hurdles as well as the 4 x 100 meter and 4 x 400 meter relay squads.

High School - Received notable recognition in both soccer and track at Parkersburg South High School.....four-year letter winner in soccer.....earned All-West Virginia First Team honors as a senior......played in the North-South All-Star Game.....received all-state honorable mention as a junior.....scored 46 goals during four-year high school career..... two-time Team MVP.....scored three goals in four consecutive games during senior season.....member of the U-17 West Virginia State Cup championship squad in 2007..... three-year track letter winner.....2008 West Virginia state champion in the 100 meter hurdles.....state runner-up in the 300 meter hurdles.....regional champ in the long jump.....National Honor Society student.....senior class president.....also served as student council vice-president.
