Melissa Ruhlman is in her final season with the Lady Jacket soccer squad.....appeared in 11 of the 22 matches during the 2013 campaign.....tallied first collegiate assist on a goal by Jacoby Ziegler in an 8-0 Homecoming victory over Ohio Mid-Western.....National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Scholar-Athlete.....member of Great Midwest Athletic Conference Academic Team for second consecutive season.

2012 - Appeared in 16 of the 19 matches including 10 starts as a defender.....solid performer on the back line.....helped CU defense post a 1.22 goals against average.....Great Midwest Athletic Conference Academic Team.

2011 - Appeared in 13 matches with eight starts including five consecutive to begin the campaign.....part of defensive unit that posted six shutouts last fall.

High School - Produced a successful three-sport prep career at Shorecrest High School......three-year letter winner in soccer.....member of District 1 championship team in 2009.....two-time WesCo League winners.....earned Team MVP as a sophomore.....three-year letter winner in basketball.....member of a district title squad and two WesCo League championship teams.....earned Team MVP honors in 2009.....four-year letter winner in track & field.....squad captured a district banner and two conference titles.....named a Senior Scholar-Athlete.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean’s Honor List student as a nursing major at Cedarville University.....born 3/25/93 in Seattle, WA.....daughter of Rev. Tom and Becky Ruhlman.....has three older sisters and four older brothers......oldest brother, Mark, was a four-year soccer player at The Master’s College.....next oldest brother, Scott, ran cross country and track & field for four years at Cedarville University......older brother, Kevin, participated in cross country and indoor track & field for two seasons at CU.....older sisters, Michelle and Karen, are both former Lady Jacket soccer players....Michelle is a 2013 inductee in the Cedarville University Athletic Hall of Fame.
