Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Morgan Ziegler is in her final season with the Lady Jacket soccer program.....will serve as a co-captain in 2012.....played in all 18 matches including 17 starts last fall.....posted two goals and an assist during the 2011 campaign.....knocked in the game-winning goal off a corner kick in CU’s first win of the year - a 4-1 decision at Defiance.....scored the lone Cedarville goal in a 2-1 setback at Notre Dame OH in the semifinals of the Ohio Independent Championship.....assisted Kelsey Watkins on the only Lady Jacket goal in an early-season loss to Taylor.....National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Scholar-Athlete.....Academic All-Ohio Second Team honors.

2010 - Played in all 19 matches with eight starts at the midfield.....integral part of defensive squad that allowed 1.31 goals per game.....scored first collegiate goal on a penalty kick during the 88th minute of a 5-0 American Mideast Conference victory over visiting Carlow.....attempted 15 shots with eight on goal for a .533 sog %.

2009 - Appeared in 13 matches with eight starts during her first campaign with the Lady Jackets.....added depth and dependability to the midfield position.

High School - Participated in two sports at Wellington High School......four-year letter winner in soccer.....earned All-Patriot Athletic Conference, All-Lorain County and All-Greater Cleveland First Team honors as a senior.....also received one letter in track & field.

Personal - Exercise science major at Cedarville University.....born 5/31/91 in Norwalk, OH.....daughter of Brent and Kim Ziegler.....older brother, Zak, is a junior at Cedarville and was a member of the Yellow Jacket soccer team.....has twin younger brothers.....younger sister, Jacoby, is a freshman at CU and is on the Lady Jacket soccer squad.
