Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Sarah Storkel is in her final season with the Lady Jacket soccer squad.....saw action in 17 of the 22 matches last fall.....scored one goal with two assists for four points.....netted lone goal of the year plus assisted on a goal by Elizabeth Cox in an 8-0 Homecoming win over Ohio Mid-Western.....assisted on the game-winning goal of Kaitlyn Stiles in the Lady Jackets 1-0 Great Midwest Athletic Conference verdict at Salem International.....five of eight shots on the year were on goal for a .625 sog%.

2012 - Appeared in all 19 matches including two starts as a midfielder.....ranked seventh on the team in scoring with a goal and two assists for four points.....first collegiate goal came in a 12-0 rout of visiting Salem International.....assisted on Carissa Van Dyke’s first college goal in the game versus Salem.....recorded an assist along with Chloe West on Jacoby Ziegler’s game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory at Marian University - CU’s first win of the campaign.

2011 - Appeared in 16 of the 18 matches played.....gained valuable experience as a rookie midfielder on a squad that registered six shutouts.....took five shots overall with four on goal.

High School - Produced a two-sport career at Mansfield Christian High School.....four-year letter winner in soccer.....finished prep career with 23 goals and 51 assists.....tallied six goals and a team-leading 17 assists as a senior.....voted squad’s Most Valuable Player.....received the North Central Ohio Small School Coaches Association (NCOSSCA) Offensive MVP after posting a goal and an assist in the 2010 All-Star Game.....NCOSSCA District II First Team selection.....helped lead high school squad to district finals as a freshman and sophomore.....team advanced to section finals as a junior.....also two-year letter winner in softball.....earned the 2011 National Scholar-Athlete Award.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a nursing major at Cedarville University .....born 2/11/93 in Pittsburgh, PA.....daughter of Steve and Becky Storkel.....has two older sisters - Jen was a four-year soccer performer at Trinity International University and Brittany was a four-year member of the Trinity Christian College soccer team.....also has one younger brother.
