Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Abby Wong is a fourth-year distance runner with the Lady Jackets.....ran in all seven cross country meets this past fall.....ran a career-best 19:31 at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational.....produced a 19:47 at the Friendship Invitational to finish in 20th position overall.....ran a 20:19 on the home course with a seventh-place effort as Cedarville won the first-ever Great Midwest Athletic Conference title.....earned G-MAC First Team recognition..... NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2011-12 - Saw action in the 1500, 3000 and 5000 meters during the 2012 indoor/outdoor campaign.....placed second in the 3,000 meters (11:02.78) at the indoor Indiana Wesleyan Classic.....earned a fifth-place spot in the 3K (10:57.99) at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational.....a 5:08.00 performance in the 1,500 meters grabbed sixth position as Cedarville won the outdoor Ohio Independent Championship title.....best 5,000 meter effort of 19:34.00 also came at the OIC meet and earned a tenth-place spot.....NCCAA Indoor and Outdoor Scholar-Athlete.....ran in all six cross country meets.....finished as Cedarville’s fifth-fastest runner in four meets.....registered a season-best effort of 19:44 at the Friendship Invitational finishing 18th of 106 participants.....placed 11th of 59 runners at the Ohio Independent Championship with a time of 20:16.....produced a 20:19 effort at the NCCAA National Championship helping CU to a fifth-place position out of 25 schools.....earned NCCAA Scholar-Athlete honors.

2010-11 - Participated in three indoor meets in the 800 meter event.....best time of the season was a 2:27.53 at the Lake Erie Open.....produced a third-place finish in the 800 meters at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Invitational (2:26.26).....finished sixth in the 1,500 meters at the American Mideast Conference Championship.....NCCAA Indoor Scholar-Athlete.....participated in three cross country meets for the NAIA nationally-ranked CU women.....top time of the campaign (20:34) came in the season-opening University of Dayton Challenge.

2009-10 - Competed in the distance events on the track.....ran in just one indoor meet as a freshman.....placed fifth in the 800 meters at the Marietta Open with a 2:30.86 effort.....NCCAA Outdoor All-American in the 4 x 800 meter relay.....NAIA qualifier in the outdoor 4 x 800.....finished sixth in the 800 meters at the Miami RedHawk Invitational with a season-best 2:24.55.....saw action in six cross country varsity meets as a freshman.....best time for the 5K was 20:41 as CU’s #8 finisher at Aquinas.....clocked in 20:57 at the Friendship Invitational.

High School - Homeschool graduate, who was a four-year letter winner in cross country and track at Northern York High School.....four-time state qualifier in cross country.....posted a personal-best time of 19:25 in the 5K.....member of 2007 state runner-up squad.

Personal - Dean’s Honor List student as a biology major at Cedarville University.....born 5/26/92 in West Point, NY.....daughter of Leonard and Elizabeth Wong.....older brother, Andrew, is a 2007 CU graduate.....older sisters Lydia (2006-10) and Rachel (2008-12) were All-America distance runners for the Lady Jackets.....also has two younger brothers.
