Biography

CAREER STATS 

Anna Thayer is in her second year of collegiate track & field with the Lady Jackets as a distance runner.....participated in three varsity cross country meets this past fall.....top 6K effort was a 26:54 outing at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championships hosted by Trevecca Nazarene in Nashville, Tennessee.....recorded a 22:58 over the 5K Elvin R. King Cross Country Course at the Friendship Invitational.

2016-17 - Competed in the middle distance events during the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.....best indoor effort in the 800 meters was a 2:38.93 outing at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet.....posted a season-best time of 5:57.23 in the mile at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Indoor Championships.....produced a sixth-place finish in the outdoor 800 meters (2:35.08) and a season-best time of 5:13.93 in the 1,500 meters at the Muskingum Invitational.....ran in four of the eight cross country meets as a freshman.....best 6K performance of the season was a 26:37 at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational.....posted a 22:40 over the 5K layout of CU’s Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.

High School - Participated in the 800 and 1,600 meters on the track for Naperville Central High School.....four-year cross country letter winner.....member of program that qualified for the state meet each year.....Academic All-Dupage Valley Conference honoree.

Personal - Dean’s List student as an allied health major at Cedarville University.....born 11/23/97 in Naperville, IL.....daughter of the late Martin Thayer and Carolyn Thayer.....has one older sister.....older brother, Evan, was an All-America distance runner for the Yellow Jackets from 2008-12.....older brother, Forrest, was a four-year distance runner at CU and the 2015-16 G-MAC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
