Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Carolyn Case returns for a fourth season as a distance runner with the track & field program at Cedarville University.....participated in six of the seven cross country meets this past fall....finished as CU’s #3 runner in four meets.....best effort of the year came in the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational with a 19:07 - placing 38th of 189 runners.....posted a 19:29 performance at the National Christian College Athletic Association Championship.....placed third with a 19:39 outing to help Cedarville win the first-ever Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship....G-MAC First Team honoree.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2011-12 - Produced 38 individual points during the 2012 indoor/outdoor seasons.....best indoor effort in the 800 meters was a 2:24.90 to place second at the Cedarville Collegiate Invitational.....finished second in the 800 meters (2:27.29) at the Indiana Wesleyan Classic.....recorded an indoor-best 5:16.33 in the mile at the Youngstown State University Invitational to take fifth-place.....tallied a fourth-place spot in the mile run at the NCCAA Indoor Championship with a time of 5:17.71.....member of the winning 4 x 800 meter relay squad at the Cedarville Collegiate Invite with a 9:59.95 effort.....recorded a outdoor-best 4:53.01 in the 1,500 meters to finish fifth at the NCCAA Championship.....placed third (12:10.04) in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Invitational.....part of 4 x 800 meter relay quartet that produced the ninth-fastest time in school history of 9:33.17 for a third-place finish at the Emory University Invitational.....NCCAA Indoor and Outdoor Scholar-Athlete.....ran in three cross country meets with the Lady Jackets.....best time of the campaign came in the season-ending NCCAA National Championship - finishing 36th of 184 runners with a 19:56 effort.....placed 16th of 49 participants in the Ohio Independent Championship (20:35).....ran in the season-opening Dayton Challenge and finished 19th of 77 with a time of 20:57.....earned NCCAA Scholar-Athlete recognition.

2010-11 - Ran in two indoor meets in 2011.....participated in the 800 meters in four outdoor meets.....produced a berthst effort of 2:26.22 at the Cincinnati Open.....completed her second campaign with the Lady Jacket cross country squad.....ran in five meets.....got off to a slow start as a sophomore but recovered to run in CU’s top seven in her final four outings.....career-best effort of 18:38 earned a 12th place finish at the American Mideast Conference Championship to garner All-AMC Second Team honors......placed 14th of 91 runners at the Walsh-Malone Invitational with a time of 19:08.....CU’s third-best finisher at the NAIA National Meet with a 19:12 performance as the Lady Jackets finished tenth of 32 teams.

2009-10 - Produced a third-best 32 individual points in the indoor track campaign.....captured the 1,000 meter run at the Marietta College Open with a 3:07.16 outing.....placed seventh in the 800 meters at the NCCAA Indoor Championship with a season-best 2:23.42.....had runner-up finishes in the 800 meters at the Cedarville Challenge and in the 1,000 meters at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational.....totaled 28 individual points in the outdoor season.....season-best performance of 4:43.27 in the 1,500 meters produced a runner-up finish at the Miami RedHawk Invitational and earned automatic qualification into the NAIA national meet.....earned American Mideast Conference Second Team recognition in the 1,500 meters with a second-place time of 4:50.82 .....also placed second in the event at the Yellow Jacket Open with a time of 4:51.54......ran in all eight varsity cross country meets.....earned NCCAA All-America cross country honors for her 12th place finish of 134 runners with a 19:04 effort..... garnered All-American Mideast Conference First Team recognition with a season-best time of 19:01 by finishing seventh of 121 runners.....placed 42nd (19:16) at the NAIA National Championship as the Lady Jackets finished sixth.

High School - Four-year letter winner in cross country and track at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy.....helped Royals win the 2008 Ohio Division II cross country championship by placing 13th overall in 19:12.....member of Division II state runner-up squad in 2007.....three-time All-Ohio performer placing 7th in the state Division III meet as a freshman and 22nd as a sophomore.....four-time All-Principals Athletic Conference honoree in cross country.....ran for Ohio in 2008 Mid-East Cross Country Championships placing 16th overall in 18:55.....enjoyed an outstanding career on the track as part of CVCA’s 2008 and 2009 Ohio Division II championship teams.....1,600 meter runner-up as a senior in 5:01.19 and member of 4 x 800 relay squad that placed 3rd.....finished 5th in the 1,600 as a junior and was part of 4 x 800 relay team that won state title.....four-time All-PAC with multiple league titles in individual and relay events.....PAC and Team MVP as a senior.....competed for champion Ohio team in the 2009 Midwest Meet of Champions placing 4th in the 1,600 in 4:59.48.....Akron Touchdown Club honoree.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a psychology major at Cedarville University.....born 5/26/91 in Cleveland, OH.....daughter of Paul and Tina Case.....has one older brother and a younger brother.
