Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Chelsea Gruet returns for another year of collegiate track & field with the Lady Jackets.....did not participate in the 2011 campaign due to injury......will look to regain form as one of CU’s top hurdlers and contribute as a sprinter.

2010 - Produced a third-best 34 individual points during the indoor campaign.....season-best effort of 8.77 in the 55 meter hurdles placed sixth at the NCCAA Indoor Championship.....won the event at the Marietta Open with a time of 8.82.....finished second in the 60 meter hurdles with a season-best 9.42 at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational.....recorded 48 individual points in last spring’s outdoor season.....earned American Mideast Conference Second Team honors in the 400 meter hurdles with a runner-up time of 1:07.00 at the AMC Championship.....captured the 400 meter hurdle event at the Yellow Jacket Open with a season-best performance of 1:05.52.....won the 100 meter hurdles event at the Yellow Jacket Open with a 15.91 outing.

2009 - Participated in just one indoor meet as a freshman.....earned runner-up honors in the 55 meter hurdles at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational with an 8.86 effort.

High School - Registered a three-sport career at Broadalbin-Perth High School.....earned five varsity letters in track & field.....high school squad captured the 2007 Track & Field Section II Class B Championship.....finished fifth in the 100 meter hurdles at the 2008 New York Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Division II state meet.....named MVP of high school team.....holds eleven school records in indoor and outdoor track & field.....four-year letter winner in soccer.....team garnered 2005 Section II Class B Championship title.....earned first team all-star honors and voted Team MVP as a senior.....named Offensive Player of the Year during junior campaign.....second all-time leading goal scorer at Broadalbin-Perth HS.....recognized as the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce Athlete of the Year as a senior.....two-year letter winner in basketball.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Allied health major at Cedarville University.....born 2/23/90 in Amsterdam, NY....daughter of Thomas and Katrina Gruet....has one younger brother.
