Christy Jesson is a four-year distance runner with the Lady Jackets.....ran in all seven cross country meets during the 2017 season.....CU’s top finisher and 39th overall of 199 runners in the NCAA II Midwest Regional touring the 6K layout of the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in 22:45.....finished as Cedarville’s #2 runner in five meets.....placed sixth overall with a 5K career-best effort of 18:12 as CU captured their 11th NCCAA national title in Jackson, Mississippi.....G-MAC Second Team.....NCCAA All-American.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2016-17 - G-MAC Indoor First Team on the track and G-MAC Outdoor Third Team.....recorded the sixth (17:36.01) and seventh-fastest (17:40.33) indoor 5K times in school history as well as the fourth-fastest (17:17.33) outdoor 5K.....USTFCCCA Division II All-Academic.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.....ran in all six varsity meets during junior season and finished among the top seven in the last five.....served as a team captain.....All-G-MAC Second Team.....finished 11th in the conference in 23:43 for the 6K.....posted a career-best 22:10 in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.....placed 8th of 172 competitors at Wisconsin-Parkside in 22:51....G-MAC Academic Team.

2015-16 - Produced a fourth-place finish in the 5,000 meters (19:23.28) at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Indoor Championship.....earned G-MAC Outdoor Third Team honors in the 5,000 meters with a third-place 18:28.95 effort.....G-MAC Academic Team.....participated in four of the seven cross country meets.....top 6K effort was a 25:56 at the All-Ohio Championships at CU’s Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.....produced a 20:21 outing over the 5K course at the Evansville Invitational.

2014-15 - Competed in the middle distance events during the track & field season.....appeared in five varsity cross country meets as a freshman.....best 6K time was 24:00 which placed 18th at the G-MAC Championship.....finished 11th in the Cedarville Open with a season-best 5K mark of 20:00.

High School - Graduate of Trinity Pacific Christian.....did not run competitively in high school, however, did participate in four national cross country meets individually.....two-year letter winner in volleyball.....team MVP as a senior.....graduated with academic honors.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a nursing major at Cedarville University.....born 10/25/95 in Simi Valley, CA.....daughter of Doug and Margie Jesson.....older brother, Paul, was a distance runner at The Master’s College.....also has an older sister, Laura.
