Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Jim Sawin has been a member of the Yellow Jacket track & field coaching staff since 2008. He works with the high jumpers.

Sawin was a four-year contributor to the Cedarville University program from 2004 through 2007. He capped off his career as a senior by tying for 4th place at the NAIA Outdoor Championships by clearing 6-feet 8-inches for All-America honors. The Massachusetts native was the NCCAA indoor champion and the American Mideast Conference champion.

Sawin’s career-best mark in the high jump was 6-9. He was also an NAIA and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

Sawin, who is a 2007 graduate of the University with a sport management degree, is currently the Health and Wellness Director at the Huber Heights, Ohio YMCA. Jim and his wife, Emily, who is a former distance runner for the Lady Jackets, were married on May 21, 2011.
