Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Courtnie Merritt returns for her second campaign with the Lady Jacket track & field squad after a successful rookie year as a high jumper.....won the 2009 NCCAA Indoor high jump championship with a season-best performance of 5-feet 5-inches to garner All-America honors....also captured indoor high jump titles at the Findlay Open and the Cedarville Collegiate Invitational.....placed second in the high jump at the NAIA Outdoor Championship with a 5-7 performance to earn NAIA All-America honors.....captured high jump wins at the NCCAA Outdoor Championship (5-5) and AMC Championship (5-1.75).....member of the 4 x 100 meter relay squad that placed third at the NCCAA Championship to earn All-America recognition.

High School - Produced a three-sport prep career at Valley High School.....four year letter winner in track & field.....member of the 2007 district championship squad.....team earned three consecutive conference championships.....member of the All-Ohio and All-Conference First Team.....finished second in the high jump at the 2007 Ohio State Track & Field meet.....named All-Ohio Academic.....four-year letter winner in volleyball.....member of four consecutive district championship volleyball squads.....named to the All-District and All-SOC First Team.....earned four letters in basketball.....three-time district champions.....named Conference Player of the Year in 2008.....All-Ohio honorable mention.....All-District First Team.....All-Area Third Team...... Wendy’s High School Heisman State Finalist in 2008.
