Hailey (Bredeson) Blackwell is back for her final season with the Lady Jacket track & field squad.....participated in six of the eight cross country meets during the 2016 campaign.....served as one of the team captains.....placed in Cedarville’s top five runners in all six meets.....runner-up at CU’s Friendship Invitational with an 18:37 effort over the 5K layout of the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.....placed 27th of 220 runners at the NCAA II Midwest Regional in Evansville, Indiana with a 21:38 6K performance.....posted a fourth-place showing in Canton, Ohio as the Lady Jackets won their fifth straight Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) banner.....G-MAC First Team honoree.

2015-16 - Produced an outstanding year on the track.....NCAA Division II Indoor qualifier in the distance medley relay.....Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Indoor First Team with a victory in the mile run.....named to the G-MAC Outdoor Third Team.....United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II All-Academic.....recorded 31 individual indoor points and 42 individual outdoor points.....National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.....ran in six of the seven cross country meets.....registered a career-best 6K performance of 22:18 at the NCAA II Midwest Regional in Allendale, Michigan to finish 45th of 224 participants.....placed tenth with an 18:35 5K as CU captured the NCCAA Championship banner in Houghton, New York.....finished 11th overall in both the 5K Friendship Invitational (19:01) and the 5K Evansville Invitational (18:41).....Cedarville’s top finisher in the season-opening Queen City Invitational with a 23:23 outing over the 5K course.....NCCAA All-American.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2014-15 - NCCAA Outdoor All-American on the track as part of the runner-up 4 x 800 meter relay squad.....member of runner-up 4 x 400 meter relay at the G-MAC Indoor to earn all-conference second team honors.....G-MAC Academic Team.....served as one of the cross country team captains.....All-G-MAC Second Team runner as a sophomore after placing 8th in a career-best 6K time of 23:18.....finished 13th in the Friendship Invitational with a personal 5K best of 19:32.

2013-14 - Competed in the distance events on the track.....saw action in six meets as a freshman and finished among the team’s top seven each time.....best time in the 6K was 24:15 to place 13th in the G-MAC Championship.....named to the G-MAC Second Team.....finished 49th of 276 in 24:42 at Gettysburg.....CU’s #2 runner in the All-Ohio in 24:44 to place 92nd of 283.....crossed the line 59th of 227 in the NCCAA Championship in 19:56 for the 5K.

High School - Earned four letters in track & field at Northwest Christian High School.....1,600 meter state champion as a senior and part of two 4 x 400 meter title quartets.....team won 2013 state crown....four-year letter winner in cross country.....team MVP as a senior and twice served as team captain.....member of four-time state championship squad.....achieved three letters in basketball.....graduated with academic honors.

Personal - Dean’s List student as an early childhood education major at Cedarville University.....born 4/3/95 in Coral Springs, FL.....daughter of Chris and Darla Bredeson.....married former Yellow Jacket track & field standout James Blackwell on June 25, 2016.....has one older sister.....younger brother, Luke, is a freshman distance runner at the University.
