Biography
Jessica Sipe is back for her fourth season with the Lady Jacket track team specializing as a thrower.....placed sixth in the shot put at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational with a 33-feet 1.75-inch effort.....finished 12th in the shot put at the NCCAA Indoor Championship with a season-best 35-0.5 performance.....participated in the shot put, discus and hammer events during the 2009 outdoor season.....produced a career-best hammer throw of 107-3 at the Southern Ohio Cup.....placed tenth in the shot put (36-4) and 15th in the discus (98-7) at the American Mideast Conference Championship.
2008 - Best shot put finish of the indoor campaign came in the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational with a seventh-place spot on a 31-5.25 effort.....placed eighth in the weight throw (33-11.25) at the same meet.....posted an eighth-place finish in the shot put at the AMC Championship with a season-best 36-5.5 performance.....placed sixth in the shot put at the Emory Invitational with a 34-2 effort.....best discus toss of the outdoor season was an 87-1 at the Emory Invitational.....recorded a career-best 101-8 hammer throw at the Miami Invitational.
2007 - Played a second consecutive season on the CU women’s JV basketball squad.....season-best effort of 36-8.25 in the shot put placed third at the Yellow Jacket Outdoor Open.....tossed a season-best 93-10 in the discus at the Miami Invitational.....recorded a 91-10 effort in the hammer throw to place sixth at the Wittenberg Invitational.....season-best performance in the weight throw of 32-5.5 placed 16th at the Cedarville Indoor Invitational.
High School - Produced a four-sport career at Adams Central High School..... three-year letter winner in track and field.....earned Honorable Mention in 2006.....recorded a 34-9 effort in the shot put and a 99-5 performance in the discus.....three-year letter winner in basketball.....also played two years of volleyball and one season of softballl.....National Honor Society student.
Personal - Social work major at Cedarville University.....born 1/14/87 in Bluffton, IN.....daughter of John and Jill Sipe.....has two older sisters and two younger sisters.
