Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Kelsey Watkins begins her second campaign with the Cedarville University women’s track & field squad afer registering another season with the Lady Jacket soccer team this past fall.....still rehabbing from a serious knee injury suffered during the soccer season.....Lady Jacket leading scorer with five goals and three assists for 13 points.....earned All-American Mideast Conference Second Team recognition.

2008-09 - Best effort in the 55 meter indoor hurdles was 9.06 for a fourth place finish at the Depauw Tiger Invitational.....produced a third place spot in the 200 meters at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational with a time of 27.98.....earned NCCAA Outdoor All-America honors in the 100 meter hurdles and as a member of the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 meter relay squads.....recorded an outdoor season-best time of 15.08 in the 100 meter hurdles at the Cedarville Collegiate Challenge.....won the 400 meter hurdle event with a 1:08.01 performance at the Cedarville Challenge.....started 10 of the 20 matches she appeared in as a forward for the Lady Jacket soccer squad.....ranked second in scoring with 11 goals and two assists for 24 points.....earned All-NCCAA Midwest Region and All-AMC Third Team honors.....tied for eighth in the league with 11 goals scored.

High School - Produced a notable two-sport career at Parkersburg South High School .....three-year track letter winner.....2008 West Virginia state champion in the 100 meter hurdles.....state runner-up in the 300 meter hurdles.....regional champ in the long jump.....four-year letter winner in soccer.....earned All-West Virginia First Team honors as a senior.....played in the North-South All-Star Game.....received all-state honorable mention as a junior.....scored 46 goals during four-year high school career.....two-time Team MVP.....member of the U-17 West Virginia State Cup championship squad in 2007.....National Honor Society student.....senior class president.....also served as student council vice-president.
