Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Krista Johnson is back for another season with the Lady Jacket track & field program....will see action in both the middle distance and hurdles events......participated in four of the seven cross country meets this past fall as a member of the CU women’s cross country program.....produced a career-best effort of 20:31 at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational.....posted a 20:53 time at the Friendship Invitational.....finished in the 19th position (21:44) as Cedarville won the first-ever Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship.....registered a 22:45 outing at the season-opening University of Dayton Challenge.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete recognition.

2011-12 - Finished sixth in the 1,000 meters at the indoor Indiana Wesleyan Classic with a 3:19.44 performance.....ran the mile in three indoor meets with best time of 5:39.48 coming in the National Christian College Athletic Association Championship.....outdoor season-best in the 1,500 meters was a 5:15.60 effort to place 14th at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open.....NCCAA Indoor and Outdoor Scholar-Athlete.....ran in four cross country meets.....best time of the campaign was a 21:09 outing at the Friendship Invitational.....second-best time came at the Ohio Independent Championship (21:37).....earned NCCAA Scholar-Athlete recognition

2010-11 - Participated in the 800 meters in four indoor meets.....best time of 2:31.20 produced an eighth-place finish at the Findlay Division II Challenge.....ran the 800 meter event in four outdoor meets.....posted a time of 38:04.28 in the 5,000 meter race walk for a fourth-place position at the American Mideast Conference Championship.....did not compete in the cross country schedule due to continuing recovery from injury.

2009-10 - Missed the spring track season due to a knee injury.....ran in five varsity cross country meets for the NAIA nationally-ranked CU women.....best time of the season was 21:23 at the Aquinas Invitational.....finished 55th of 121 runners at the American Mideast Conference Championship with a time of 21:55.

High School - Four-year letter winner in track and cross country at Carroll High School.....two-time all-state and three-time All-NHC on the track in the 4 x 800 meter relay.....helped Chargers to the 2009 NHC track & field title.....team captain.....member of two-time Northeast Hoosier Conference, sectional, and regional championship cross country program.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a biology major at Cedarville University.....born 12/6/90 in Bluffton, IN.....daughter of Ben and Bonnie Johnson.....has one older brother....younger sister, Brianna, is a sophomore distance runner at Indiana University.
