Biography
Laura Kirby is in her third campaign as a pole vaulter with the Cedarville University women’s track & field team.....participated in three indoor meets last season..... produced an 8-02.5 effort for a seventh-place spot at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational.....finished in sixth position at the Cedarville Challenge with a vault of 7-0.....an 8-0 performance at the American Mideast Conference Championship was her best outdoor effort of 2010.....a 7-10.5 vault placed fourth at the Emory Invitational.
2009 - Participated in five indoor meets as a rookie.....best effort was a 9-feet .25-inch vault at the NCCAA Indoor Championship for a ninth place finish......vaulted in five outdoor meets during the spring season.....produced an 8-0.5 vault at the American Mideast Conference Championship to earn five points for CU.
High School - Completed a three-sport career at Lakeland Christian School.....earned six letters in track & field.....member of six-time district championship team.....squad captured the 2003 regional championship..... holds the school record in the pole vault.....also participated in basketball and swimming.
Personal - Dean’s List student as an early childhood education major at Cedarville University.....born 12/14/89 in Lakeland, FL.....daughter of Mark and Linda Kirby.....has two older sisters and a younger sister....oldest sister, Colleen, was a four-year participant in the Lady Jacket track & field program as a pole vaulter.
