Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Meagan Carns is in her fourth season with the Cedarville University women’s track & field team.....will continue to focus on the hurdles events.....participated in the 200 meter, 400 meter, 55 meter hurdles and 60 meter hurdles events during the 2011 indoor season..... registered an outdoor season-best 18.64 in the 100 meter hurdles at the University of Cincinnati Early Bird.....posted a time of 1:14.95 in the 400 meter hurdles event at the Miami Invitational.

2010 - Best efforts during the 2010 indoor campaign came in the 55 meters and the 400 meters.....posted a time of 9.08 in the finals of the 55 meters at the Cedarville Challenge.....placed 13th in the 400 meters at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational with a time of 1:12.73.....participated in five outdoor meets last spring.....produced a tenth-place finish in the 400 meter hurdles with a 1:17.22 effort at the Yellow Jacket Outdoor Open....recorded a season-best 18.70 time in the prelims of the 100 meter hurdles at the American Mideast Conference Championship.

2009 - Saw limited action in the hurdles events.

High School - Completed a three-year track career at Buena High School as a homeschool student.....earned two letters.....member of high school squad that placed tenth at the 2008 5A Division I State Track & Field meet.....team captured the 2008 5A Division I Region Championship.....participated on the 4x100 meter relay quartet that placed eighth in the 2008 state meet.....earned All-South Arizona Girls Track & Field honorable mention by the Arizona Daily Star.....regional runner-up in the 100 meter hurdles and third-place finisher in the 300 meter hurdles as a senior.....posted career-bests of 16.99 in the 100 meter hurdles and 48.86 in the 300 meter hurdles.

Personal - Early childhood education major at Cedarville University.....born 3/11/90 in Tuscaloosa, AL....daughter of Rev. David and Pamelia Carns....has one younger brother.
